Guys, this is the site we can start to share our ideas about the ceremonies we can start thinking about for our girls. I was thinking one at 12/13 and one at 17/18. But all that is subject to research.
I know there is material out there since other men have done this before us. I heard of some guy in Colorado who started a formal dance/ceremony of some kind for fathers and daughter. For our boys, I would like to look at "The Making of a Modern Day Knight." I'll see if I can find something of similar nature for the girls. Not to say we can't come up with something on our own, I just know we can get somewhere more quickly by seeing what others have done before us. I call it R&D - rip off and duplicate!
However, I took a look today and don't see anything quite as powerful as a "modern day knight" for girls.
of the several books I perused there is this:
Dad's Everything Book for Daughters (Paperback)
I am interested to gear towards something like a ceremony. And I am thinking age 12...which would put me about 7 months away for Cianna. I would like it to be somewhat repeatable for everyone of our girls if possible...and that would just follow for the boys too, who come later.
